joselyn barahona

This year's math has helped me a lot. I've learned about many helpful things such as power point and how to use Google docs which can be helpful in college. In the Community Box unity and Alice unit I learned about volume and how to justify everything I do as well as many formulas. Yes I would like to send my letter to the company I can make money off of it :) Wan the only thing youi can approve on is being specific with homework and try to give everyone and equal amount of attention but other than that you are a great teacher

11.4 Joselyn Barahona exit slip

The overall task was how can we determine the minimum surface area while keeping the voume the same. It is necessary because it will reduce the surface area of the can but still keep the same volume. It also shows the reader what we did. Since the whole PBAt is to save the company money by using less material but still have the same amount of proudct.

11.4 joselyn babrhona 5/3 exit slip

The new surface area will be used to get the height of my can and to simplify the function. The ultimate goal of finding this new function was how can we take this and apply it to our obat in order to subtitue our heights into the SA formula for our can.

I can visually take this this funtion and show the relationship between the height and the surface area of my can by changing the height and subsituting it into the SA formula

It is necessary for us to combine the two formulas because we must find the height of either a cylinder or of its for a pentagonal prism. Once you find the height you can than substitute it into the surface area formula. Which then makes everything much simpler for us.

I can apply the skills when finding the height of my can.I would first find the height of my can and justify each of my steps. Then I would take the height and substitute it into the SA formula. Then I would simplify and justify all of my steps.

11.4 joselyn barahona exit slip 4/30

The overall task of this PBAT is to minimize the surface area, while maintaining the the volume of the content. We have to determine our radius, diamter, surface area, and volume of the our cans. The consumer wants us to show them dimension of the old can and the dimension of the new can and the explanation to go along with it. The want the before and after

Exit slip 4/27

The important concept of today's lesson was to find out the height.
I used the calculator and google spreadsheet. It ehlped because I was able to amke my table . It was easy because all i had to do was plug in te numbers

Exit slip 4/23

I did not use anybody's help during class, except to get the notes and Kadesha helped me with that. I was able to calculate my volume for the can which came out to be v=451.936. I also got the surface area calculation which I did not have the time however to get the calculations because the period ended.

I learned how to get the radius of my can and learned that I had to repeat this step a couple of times to get close to getting a right answer. I also learned how to get my height using a ruler (cm).
I can use this skill outside of school when ever I want to measure of get calculations for anything. This skill will be helpful throughout the making of my PBAT.

One question I do have is, Can I use keep your can ? and was this the first step of our PBAT?
