11.4 joselyn barahona exit slip 4/30
The overall task of this PBAT is to minimize the surface area, while maintaining the the volume of the content. We have to determine our radius, diamter, surface area, and volume of the our cans. The consumer wants us to show them dimension of the old can and the dimension of the new can and the explanation to go along with it. The want the before and after

The important concept of today's lesson was to find out the height.
I used the calculator and google spreadsheet. It ehlped because I was able to amke my table . It was easy because all i had to do was plug in te numbers

I did not use anybody's help during class, except to get the notes and Kadesha helped me with that. I was able to calculate my volume for the can which came out to be v=451.936. I also got the surface area calculation which I did not have the time however to get the calculations because the period ended.
I learned how to get the radius of my can and learned that I had to repeat this step a couple of times to get close to getting a right answer. I also learned how to get my height using a ruler (cm).
I can use this skill outside of school when ever I want to measure of get calculations for anything. This skill will be helpful throughout the making of my PBAT.
One question I do have is, Can I use keep your can ? and was this the first step of our PBAT?

The results of calculations from two functions are shown in table 1. The first function is y1= 4x^+5 and the second function is y2=7x^3+100.
The first column contains some values for the independent variable x. The values go from -25 to 25, they were chosen by random. The scale goes by 5.The most important parts are the maximum, the roots, minimum etc.
The x values were substituted into the y1 function, and the results are found in the second column of table 1. I notice that as the x-values increased the y-values increase. In the function y2 the x-values also increase and the y-values increase. (o,o) is both the minimum and maximum

I had 4 categories. First category was called Third-degree term and the first column was y=2x^3 the second column was y= -2x^3. The next category is called second degree term and both columns were 0. The first degree term was also 0. Constant was also zero

Exit Slip JB 11.4
The curvature to Y2 compared to y1 is narrower and Y1 is wider compared to Y2
Y1 is vertically shifted up by 100 units compared to Y2 that is shifted down
There is no horizontal shift because the lines have the same pattern.

One thing i learned today was how to use a spreadsheet and share it with Wan
I did not have a major problem today. I was just stuck when choosing a function. next time i will be able to handle it on myself.
